During the Wed, May 28th call, John Grant addressed the implications of new laws and what’s on the table in:

  • Virginia
  • Oregon
  • Washington State
  • North Carolina
  • Florida
  • Arizona
  • Massachusetts
  • Connecticut
  • New Jersey
  • Federal Legislation

Responsible real estate investors, speakers and consultants should be aware that the following states have passed NEW LAWS so far this year governing the industry:

District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Maryland, Maine, Nebraska, Oregon, Virginia and Washington

NARHRI is providing its members with State Compliance Notices on these new laws, and additional Notices on existing laws approved prior to 2008 in the following states:

California, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts (AG Regs), Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Texas

Responsible investors should also know that the following states considered (some still considering) additional laws governing the industry:

Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Wisconsin
